This photo shows the Trem Azul (Blue Train), the luxury passenger express train of Companhia Paulista that used Pullman Standard cars, headed by a Vanderléia, a Brazilian-built G.E. electric locomotive. At the time when this photo was shot, during the late sixties or early seventies, passenger service at C.P. was not perfect as it was before the state take over, but it was still decent. This rare color photo, originally from the General Electric do Brasil files, is a courtesy of Rodrigo Cunha and Kenzo Sasaoka, from Campinas, SP.
