A PS2 passenger train bound for São Paulo going down the Serra de Botucatu ("Botucatu Cuesta") during the early eighties. It has the standard configuration used since the 1960s: a G.E./Westinghouse Loba electric locomotive and Brazil built Budd-Mafersa stainless steel cars. The train is passing by the km 246 of the former trunk line of E.F. Sorocabana, in the background one can see the Morro do Peru ("Peru Hill"). Original picture by Photo Dallas (Botucatu); this copy is courtesy of Luiz Fernando Fázio and José David de Castro, from Botucatu SP.
